Publisher: Loewe Verlag Pages: 412 ISBN: 3785574029 Original title: city of illusion vma nominees and shadow book series: Yes, Part 1 of 3 Release Date 16 January 2012 Rating: 5 of 5 points Flora falls from the clouds when she learns that her soul has always been leading a double life nightly in the mysterious city Eisenheim. From now on she will never sleep again without her consciousness moves into the colorless world of shadows. As if this was not unpleasant vma nominees enough, her soul has apparently stolen the White Lion, a powerful alchemical stone, after which consume not only the ruler of the shadow world. Soon Flora is no longer safe from the dangers of Eisenheim's self in the real world and one thing is clear: you can not trust anyone, not even Marian, who suddenly shows up in both worlds vma nominees and whose kisses taste more familiar than you would like.
The first sentence of the whistling wind blew through the streets of the city and scratched on the facades of the houses. So really happy so I will probably never be, even if I do not find it ugly .. by no means! In general, I like this simple design. vma nominees Everything is so bright and cheerful .. and so really inappropriate to Eisenheim: vma nominees (But the book has a reading band ;) My opinion: I'm off to Eisenheim! This had often read in the last few days with me in Facebook as a status, because then I have my book and I'm vma nominees caught vanished with flora in their dreams. Actually, you can not really compare "city of illusions and shadows" and "ruby red", but somehow I did it always. The writing style seemed very similar and for me the books could have come from the same author. However, I must say that "City of deceit and Shadows" has a lot more convinced me! Sorry Kerstin Gier, but Mechthild glasses has really blew me away with her debut novel. So much imagination and a coherent story paired with likeable characters ... great! I can not say what exactly it was ... but something was missing in the Ruby series, which this book apparently already vma nominees has! (Although I must say that I found the continuation of the ruby-series better than the first installment of the trilogy, and whether Mechthild glasses because even with part two and three because one can persuade me to be so yet proven) Sure, this also has book as a few small weaknesses and there are side characters before, now really remain rather superficial. Even at the end, many questions remain open, but that's not unusual in a trilogy-opener. Sometimes I had the feeling to shoot me in the book in a circle, as in the way: Go back to start and collect no 500 EUR. ;) About the small points of criticism but I can see really clear conscience away, because I liked the story for it to be good! One day, Flora has a dream of her looks so incredibly real and when she in her real world constantly sees strange shadows, she doubts so slowly on her mind. Until you explain the following night, that every man every night in his dreams leads a second life. Most people are sleeping. You know nothing about it and remember the next morning, not even to strange dreams - especially vma nominees not that they have worked all night in a kind of mine. Few people are knowing - people who are awake in a dream and experience the real world and the next day still remember. Flora has made one night that she is a knower, it has aroused themselves. Only that the real Flora has no memories of the dream flora and completely haphazard by Eisenheim is running - just realizing that something is after her. The book kidnapped one in a true dream world in which I probably would not live. Of course, one inevitably wonders - if that Real would be .. I would rather be a sleeper or a knower? As Flora itself, one is often unsure whom to trust in this book and who does not. It comes up with one or the other surprise, and by the slight steampunk elements (factories, airships, etc.), I had for me the feeling that something really new to read ...
