Yesterday mulch diggums I saw the summary of the Oscars on TV. To my great delight chose Channel 5 to send the abstract without Filip and Fredrik stupid comments. Thanks for that! They destroyed the whole my experience last year. Too bad that the Kanal 9 could not do the same for the live broadcast. As usual, I cried all acceptance speech. I am so sensitive! I see the Oscars as the perfect opportunity to discover new movies to see. And the films that attracted me the most is "The Artist," "Beginners", "The Help" and of course "My Week With Marilyn". Did you see the Oscars? What did you think of the show?

Malin said ... Agree that it was quite ok, but predictable event. Pretty tame. Saw it streaming so

According to tradition, I followed the Oscars last night. No big surprises, no super memorable speeches, no grand entertainment numbers. Still an okay gala. Billy Crystal was stable, albeit a little sad, happy winners and the clothes look good. Filip and Fredrik did well as guides through the evening although they sometimes seemed surprisingly poorly informed. Fun with Meryl, waited with The Artist, would have liked a statuette to Melissa McCarthy, but it was probably deserved to give it to Octavia Spencer. Thought it was a shame they stripped away the moment with five colleagues who presented respectively nominated in the leading role categories. In Memoriam segment could well have been longer and even more sentimental? Only two nominees for best song seemed jennifer lopez fashion a bit pointless (albeit fun winners). What most disturbed me was the weight baiting. Billy Crystal, red-carpet reporters, twittrarna, all were obscene fixated on people's bodies. Melissa jennifer lopez fashion McCarthy was too thick, Angelina Jolie was too narrow and Jonah Hill was the first to thick and then narrow and then a little thick again. Sure, I can agree that some did not look completely healthy, but do you think it helps if you get billions body of comments as soon as they show themselves? PUT DOWN.
Malin said ... Agree that it was quite ok, but predictable event. Pretty tame. Saw it streaming so I did F & F, it was quite nice actually. I'd rather see someone jennifer lopez fashion knowledgeable film was the hostess, jennifer lopez fashion Nils-Petter Sundgren, Hans Wiklund, ORVAR Säfström, Gunnar Rehlin, Fredrik Sahlin or someone. jennifer lopez fashion The In Memoriam section is short is something positive, jennifer lopez fashion that there are so many who passed away during the past year. I kept my fingers crossed for Max von Sydow, but Christopher Plummer's also good (although I did not think he was so particularly stunning in Beginners ... felt a bit like he got it for its overall offense type ...) 4: 25 em

Hope it was a good gala, better than last year when I actually kept me awake for a very boring show

I always do it, but this year I broke the tradition that I did not think I could cope with the job otherwise. But I'll watch the whole gala retrospective, and therefore I avoid blogs / the Internet in general today. If I do not get spoilad the winners so it's almost like watching it live.
Hope it was a good gala, better than last year when I actually kept me awake for a very boring show. We will not in any case James Franco and Anne Hathaway as hosts of this year, so it sounds better already.

To find all the nominated short films for the Oscars is certainly no easy task. Therefore, I have chosen to make small short reviews grammy awards live stream of two or three short films when I get hold of them. The above films are all nominated in the best animated short film, and can be found on iTunes (Dimanche and Wild Life) and YouTube grammy awards live stream (The Fantastic Flying Books of ...). At this writing, I lack access to the following short films: La Luna, A Morning Stroll, The Shore and Tuba Atlantic. If someone has access to these movies before Sunday, I am deeply grateful for a link to a stream, iTunes, YouTube or the like.
A young boy experiences a typical Sunday in Quebec. A church visits leads to a family lunch - something that is terribly sad for a little guy who just wants to play.
MJA, although I like the sign style Dimanche, this is not particularly interesting. At its height, Patrick Doyon created a småcharmig movie with recognition factor. I do not really have more to say about Dimanche - it went very unnoticed.
A British upper class youth travel to Canada's deserted plains of trying to make a name for himself as a rancher. When he gets there, he realizes, however, that his "ranch" is essentially worthless land and a shed. It does not prevent him from writing letters about his amazing adventures and good luck to the family in England.
Wild Life was a generally foam experience. The pretty funny premise mixed up with a very pretentious analogy between a comet and a person's life. Signs style varied between being soft and almost dreamy to be angular and rough. Interestingly attempt, but the fragmented narration does not work well in a short film.
Swedish age limit: Not estimated, probably G.
A man loses all his highly prized books in a tornado and in his attempt to rescue them he is swept away to a magical land where he becomes curator of a library where books have their own life.
As the only short film I've seen of this year's nominees hitherto try The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore tell a real story and not just view the animation technology. The script, even if it's quite alright, could have developed a little better, but the message is presented clearly and comfortably. Animation-wise, I was not too impressed, but when someone is talking about the books' healing power, I listen with pricked ears. The best so far.

Oscars, or Academy Awards as it's actually called, is over for this time. Bo Persson Mora was with David Parker, Michael Semanick and Ren Clyce nominated for an Oscar for best sound mixing in the film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Now the statuette went to the audio mix in the movie Hugo, but enough, Bo Persson feel great pride anyway! TV4 got an interview before the gala, and Dala New P4 got an interview after the gala.
The winner in the category of Best Foreign Film was the Iranian drama Nader and Simin - A Separation. It appears on Existential Film Festival this year and afterwards there will be panel discussions with Parvin Ardalan, an Iranian journalist who got the Olof Palme Prize 2007 for his struggle for men's and women equal rights, and Tomas Axelson, Dalarna University (which had some opinions about the aforementioned The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the DN for a while ago).
